5 Affordable Beauty Tricks to Make Your Skin Look Glamorous

Date:

As we age, our skin changes. When we produce less collagen, it becomes less elastic and sun damage begins to cause damage. Sometimes our skin looks duller than when we were in our thirties. So, in our forties, how do we keep our skin in good shape?

1. Lock in Moisture with Petroleum Jelly

I really love this simple little trick to keep my skin soft and radiant. Good old Vaseline! I initially thought this might make my skin oily and prone to spots, but this is not the case. I have used it under my eyes for a long time, but never on my face.

I decided to give it a try so I could say with absolute confidence that it worked. I’ve been doing this for weeks now and my skin has never felt so soft. My skin is naturally quite dry, so I’m always looking for ways to alleviate dryness.

This product is not only very effective for keeping the skin supple, but it is also very cheap. I don’t believe in spending a lot of money on skincare because most extremely expensive products aren’t what they tout.

How to Use Petroleum Jelly on Your Face for Best Results

Place a small amount (the size of a pea) on the back of your hand and divide evenly. Apply half to one side of the face and half to the other. Apply under the eyes, as this area is particularly prone to drying. What you have to be careful not to do is use too much. I don’t want my hair stuck to my face while I sleep! Apply it as often as you can and always make sure it’s the last skincare product you use before bed. Do this every night for best results.

Note: If you stop using Vaseline, it will not have a lasting effect on your skin. It is simply a product that strengthens your skin while you use it.

2. Use a Highlighter Under Your Eyes

Using a little highlighter or illuminator in darker areas is a very clever little trick. Use it under the eyes to make them look more prominent. Don’t use too much at all; It can go too far and make them look a little weird, so less is more here.

The highlighter I use is Maybelline’s glitter. I like it very much. Of course, it should actually be used on other, more visible areas of the face, but using it directly under the eye area has a real brightening effect.

Apply a small amount under the eyes and press continuously until it completely penetrates the skin. Don’t rub, just press.

3. Exfoliate with Flannel and Oil

Again, it’s a simple little trick, but it gives the most effect. Dipping dried flannel in a little warm water mixed with olive or baby oil is a great exfoliator, especially if you’re using retinol A or even retinol like I did.

How to Use This Exfoliating Method

Make tiny circular movements while applying a little force. Apply to the entire face until all skin is covered. Also to your neck. When it comes to exfoliation, we often forget about the neck.

Peeling and dead skin can be easily removed with this method, and it will definitely save money on the purchase of more expensive exfoliating products.

4. Use a Brown Sugar Scrub

I use this method a lot. Mix a tablespoon of soft brown sugar with half a tablespoon of olive oil. When your consistency is thick and you can still see the sugar grains, you can use this amazing moisturizing exfoliator.

Gently wipe in circular motions to avoid scratching the skin. Browse only once per area. Gently wash off with warm water and apply moisturizer to clean, exfoliated skin. This method will leave your skin feeling super soft and clean.

5. Drink Water

Water! This is indeed a great way to keep your skin plump, glowing and glowing. If you are not particularly fond of drinking regular water, you do not have to go all out to drink two liters a day. If you can wear five pairs of medium-sized glasses a day, then you will notice a significant change in the appearance of your skin.
