What Should I Wear to a Winery?

Date:

Are you about to go to a winery and don’t know what to wear? Do not worry!

First, you should try searching for “winery clothing” on Pinterest or Google to get some ideas. Of course, feel free to try and enjoy your dressing pleasure. After all, it’s your day to relax and enjoy your wine!

I also like to check out the wineries I’m going to on social media and then assess how people usually wear so I don’t feel overdressed or overdone.

You can also ask friends who might be going with you what they’re wearing, so you can get an idea of how the outfit feels overall. You don’t want to dress too much or be too modest for the occasion.

Here are 10 ideas to help you get started!

1. Flowy Summer Dresses, Sunglasses and Sandals

When visiting a winery, a flowing dress is always a good idea. It’s comfortable and easy to move, and it looks nice with sunglasses and sandals. If you want a more bohemian look, try pairing a dress with a wide-brimmed hat.

2. Dark Washed Jeans and Youth Cloth Shirt

For a more casual outfit, pair dark washed jeans with a youth cloth shirt and add a pop touch with shoes or scarves. This is a great piece of gear to explore the winery grounds.

3. White Jeans and a Crisp Button-Down Shirt

White jeans are perfect for summer wine tasting. Wear yours with a crisp button-down shirt and comfortable flats or espadrilles. Add a pop touch to your accessories and make your outfits stand out.

4. Midi Dress and Straw Hat

I love this clothing idea. Midi dresses are a great choice for visiting wineries. It’s comfortable and flattering, and it looks great with a straw hat to block out the sun. Add some lace-up sandals or wedges to complete the look.

5. Khaki Shorts + Striped T-Shirt

I guess if you’re struggling with what to wear, then I don’t think you can go wrong trying to pair khaki shorts with a striped T-shirt. This is a great piece of gear to explore the winery grounds. Add a pair of comfortable sneakers or sandals to complete the outfit.

6. Floral Dress + Denim Jacket

Floral dresses are always a good choice for visiting wineries. It’s beautiful and feminine, and it looks great with a denim jacket. You can also add some bracelets and necklaces to decorate it.

7. Light-Colored Washed Jeans and Shirt

It’s something I do almost anything, and the trick is to find the right fit. So try pairing light-washed jeans with a shirt or button-down collar shirt and add a pop touch to your shoes or scarf.

8. White Jeans and Cropped Top

White jeans are a good choice, but make sure you drink very carefully! Try pairing white jeans with a cropped top. This is a great option for hot weather. Add some comfortable sandals or sneakers.

9. Wrap Skirt and Wedge Heels

Wrap skirts are a great choice for visiting wineries. It’s comfortable and charming, and it looks great with a pair of wedge heels. You can also add some bracelets and necklaces to decorate it.

10. Jumpsuits and Visors

This is one of my favorites! I love jumpsuits, but I’ll make sure this suits those less formal vineyards and wineries. It’s comfortable and easy to move, and wearing a sun hat keeps the sun out of the eyes and looks great.

Winery Clothing Accessories

Now that you know what to wear, it’s time to talk about accessories.

Here are eight things to consider when pairing your winery outfit:

  1. Sun hat or sunglasses: A sun hat or sunglasses is essential for a day of wine tasting outdoors. They help you block out the sun so you can focus on your wine.
  2. Scarf or shawl: A scarf or shawl is a great way to add a pop touch to your clothes and keep you warm at night when temperatures drop.
  3. Comfortable shoes: You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes, but not too casual.
  4. Bags: You need a place to store your wine, so be sure to bring a bag with you. I recommend handbags or backpacks.
  5. Water bottle: It’s important to stay hydrated when drinking, so be sure to bring a water bottle with you.
  6. Snacks: You may get some food, but just in case you’re hungry while tasting the wine, be sure to bring some snacks.
  7. Notebook: You may want to keep track of the wine you’re tasting, so be sure to bring a notebook and pen.
  8. Camera: You’ll definitely want to take some photos at the winery, so be sure to bring your camera.

Now that you know what to wear, it’s time to choose the perfect outfit for your day at the winery! Have fun and enjoy a wine tasting experience. And don’t forget to take plenty of photos to document your day. After all, you don’t get to visit the winery every day!
